I am a Year 7 student at Edmund Hillary School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 10 and my teacher is Peta. This is a place where I will share my learning. Please note that some of it will not be complete, it will be my first draft. Remember to be positive, thoughtful and helpful when you leave me a comment.
Thanks for completing this SLJ activity, A Long Walk to Freedom. Your opinion of prison sounds about right, it would be a dirty, unsafe place. I think that the worst thing about prison would be the solitude and lack of sunlight - not being around your whānau would be pretty crushing, too. It's not always bad people who go to prison, you know. Do you know how Mr Mandela ended up in prison?
That is amazing work I see that you have been working hard for the SLJ. That work is amazing I hope you have a wonderful holidays Happy New Years Luisapeta
I hope your holidays are going well and you’re having lots of fun. I see you haven't posted on your blog in a wee while. There’s still plenty of time left to do what you can and get more points and get those cool prizes that are up for grabs.
Remember that you can go back or skip ahead to do the tasks in any order you like so you can always start with the most interesting ones first.
Well done on completing so many activities in your summer learning journey programme. What an incredible achievement. Nelson Mandela has been one of the people I have always found highly inspirational. You are so right when you say " always do the right thing" , life is all about making choices. I am looking forward to seeing you at school next week and having a chat about your holidays and the summer learning journey programme.
